The Oregon Shakespeare festival is one of the premiere presentations of the Bard’s works in the country, and if your visit coincides with one of their performances, you’re very lucky indeed. But don’t forget to reserve tickets, as these popular events are often sold out as people come from far and wide to revel in the words of William Shakespeare. The festival runs from February to October and produces 11 plays each year, with 5 of them being by the Bard. The festival is housed on a three-acre campus that is home to three stages.

The Ashland Independent Film Festival brings over 90 documentary, feature, and short films and their filmmakers to Ashland, Oregon. The town is buzzing with excitement during this April festival, and if you’re in town, a trip to a screening or two is a must.

The Britt Festivals take place on the former hillside estate of Peter Britt. The location of the estate and the hills provide beautiful acoustics and breathtaking views. Britt hosts concerts throughout the year in beautiful but intimate spaces that seats over 2000 people in reserved and lawn seats. This fun fair takes place each September. Marvel at nearly 40 balloons during mass ascensions and group rides. Several events, including dinners and barbeques, are organized around the balloons.
